General Information

These Fountain Kits are provided for you to assemble into your own fountain using your own water container and tap water.  When tuned to your individual scale of 'gurgles', they are very relaxing; the kits are suitable for meditation, Feng Shui practices, humidifying plants, reducing static electricity around computers, and pet spas.

The clay shapes are made by natural-gas firing of clay taken directly from the earth; no additives are used. Your water is moved by the pump, which is easily cleaned using cider vinegar or lemon juice, when it begins to fill with sediment from tap water (60 days or so, depending upon the hardness of your tap water).

We suggest that you use a glass or metal container with a wide mouth ... the songs of the fountain will be more distinct.

Whatever your container, you assemble your fountain by putting the pump in the bottom of your container. Surround the pump with the clay shapes. Add water to the middle of the pump housing and plug in the pump.  The following are some examples of the possible finished products.

To hear the songs of this Fountain, listen in a quiet room to the Fountain's initial song. Unlike a soothing tape or CD, its songs constantly change.

Tune the Fountain by adding and removing water, and/or moving the clay shapes around the pump's water outlet. For additional tunes, you can use rocks or stones found around your own home or from a garden center, as well as other clay shapes we offer. To avoid damage to the pump, do not allow the fountain to run dry, and clean all grit and dirt from materials obtained elsewhere.

If you prefer to change the color of the water, food colors will not damage the water pump. Do not use other liquids, do not allow the water to freeze, nor let the fountain run dry.

Ordering Instructions

Choose the container you wish to use as a gurgle machine; it is best to select a bowl which has some meaning to you, due to its color, shape or history. The container must have an opening greater than 2.5 inches and a depth greater than 3 inches. Fill the container to within 1 inch of its rim with water and measure the amount of water it can hold.

For containers holding less than 26 ounces, clay balls are the preferred gurgle makers. For containers holding more than 38 ounces, the clay Crescents are preferred. For containers holding between 26 and 38 ounces of water, aesthetics may be your basis for choosing the gurgle makers.
